the two tribes were separated and taken away. the tutsis were favored and put in good schools, also put in leadership roles. The hutus did not like the fact that the tutsis were favored. The tension between the two tribes led to a civil war, which resulted in the tutsis leaving the country. They were rejected when they tried to return, thats when the killing began. The Hutus started the mass killing of the Tutsis. Six people were killed every sixty seconds of every hour, every day. Between April and July approximately eight-hundred thousand Rwandans were slaughtered. |
